Pune: there are around 6191 complaints; even after passing six years, MahaRERA has yet to clear all the complaints since the execution of the real estate regulation and development act in Pune.

Although Maharera is working on discovering the projects that are lapsed, according to consumers, the complaints should be addressed as soon as possible by setting the maximum number of benches covering the state and ensuring more hearing.

The data, which is available on the MahaRERA website, showed that the total registered complaints were over 19000; out of them, 12961 have been cleared, and orders may be issued. Complaints are being heard, and orders will be issued. But more than 700 recovery warrant orders are pending; these are still to be complied with by the revenue authorities, a citizen said who is affected, whose recovery warrant order is still pending to be executed by the Mumbai collector.

The website has mentioned the total number of executed cases, but it still needs to define the total number of complaints pending and the matters which are non-executed. The real non-executed issues may be equal to the decided numbers. Around 90% of orders may still be pending execution. Advocate Manjunath kakkalameli said.

In MahaRERA, many posts are vacant due to the officials’ retirement. There are three original benches and two appellant benches now. The consumer said that if there were more benches, the pending cases could be heard and cleared faster.
